Review article of a PhD thesis submitted in 2022 to the Archaeological Doctoral Programme, School History, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, under supervision Miklós Takács.The research behind dissertation comprises basic large-scale evaluation material record primarily Avar Period (7–9th-century) settlements. The study area is located Lower Tisza Region and southern part Körös-Maros Interfluve, including Southern Valley entire Marosszög microregion, north River Maros, on lands between Szeged-Öthalom Csanádpalota/Nagylak.
